What do you offer scholarships for?

Reconstruct & Rebuild/Re-Tap offers scholarships to underprivileged youth student athletes for academic support, advanced sports training opportunities and advance team play.

How long is the application process?

It will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to review an application as we have many to review. If your application form is not completely filled out OR if we do not have all the documents that we requested, we will notify you that your application is incomplete. We will put your application on hold and we will review it again in another 4 weeks from the day all required documents are received.

How much is your scholarship application?

There is NO FEE to apply.

How much am I awarded?

Awards are based on individual need of the student athlete and the level of support required. For example, R&R/Re-Tap may allow awards for specialized sports camps, advance team play and additional academic tutoring. The value of these awards may range from $200 – $1,000 per student athlete/per season.

Are these cash scholarships to individuals?

No. Scholarships are paid on behalf of the student athlete to the training camp, advance sports team or academic tutoring in which the youth athlete is applying.

What are the qualifications to apply for scholarship?

• Age 8-17.

• Enrolled athlete as part of an organized sport recognized by AIS.

• Must show demonstrated financial need.

• Matriculated student in school. Students with honor level grades receive preference.

How does one apply for a scholarship?

complete your application package to include by mail:

• Completed R&R/Re-Tap application.

• Parental/Guardian permission to apply.

• Letter of Coaches referral.

• Letter of Teacher or Counselor referral.

• Demonstration of financial need:

• Includes parents/guardian latest IRS 1040.

• Other documents as required by AIS.

• Application essay: “Why do you need the scholarship?”

ALL requested documents must be submitted. We cannot review your application unless we receive all documents requested and the application form is completely filled out.

What sports do you have scholarships available for?

Other athletic teams or sports may be considered in the future. Please continue to inquire about future scholarship opportunities.

May I apply for multi-year funding?

If you have been awarded previously, your application will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Awards will be based on your current need and ability of funding. Additional qualifications with more stringent requirements will be imposed on repeat applicants.
